Wooden Pieces is a private corner for friends who'd rather spend a Saturday afternoon arguing over a hex map than doing almost anything else. Chess. Go. Backgammon. Dusty euros from the back of the shelf. The occasional game nobody remembers the rules to.
Snacks are required. Phones are not. We play slowly, on purpose. We re-read the rules out loud when somebody is losing too fast.
Wooden Pieces is non-commercial. We are not a games shop, a club for hire, or a tournament organizer. There are no entry fees, no merchandise, no sponsorships. It is a private leisure space — friends, a board, a couple of dice.
